I have news for you, these horoscopes will not determine whether you are compatible with a person or not. I wouldn’t go as far as calling them a scam, but I would say they are over-hyped up and are not based on facts but myth and do not offer any substance to your love life. I have seen many horoscope reading incorrectly diagnose a romance connection. There have been many friends and colleagues of mine who were told based on their horoscopes that she shouldn’t be dating their partner and it actually turned out to be a great relationship. On the other hand, I have seen instances when a horoscope reading says that they should be dating someone because their star signs are compatible with one another and the relationship ended up in a disaster. I also speak from a position of experience, it happened to me as well.
If you are serious about getting into a successful romantic relationship I would ignore these love horoscope. I would read the compatibility reports purely for entertainment persons, but wouldn’t decide my future with my partner based on what the report says. I also wouldn’t waste any money buying such a report, there are a lot of free sites out there that can give you free compatibility reports. That is where I would stop if I were you.
Love horoscope are not going to determine whether you are meant to fall in love with one another. What is much more powerful is chemistry, common interests, personalities, shared values and goals. This is more powerful and relevant than anything else out there and it is not something you can predict without spending time together.

However, what makes you equate "standard library" exclusively with printed media? Most libraries now support "Virtual Branches" that give you access to chat reference, 24 hour answers by experienced librarian, pay databases, and book reviews by people in your own community.
Of course, you could use Yahoo Answers, Wikipedia, and Twitter for your research since those do "compete" with libraries, and much more than half of the time their answers are correct, but when they're wrong, will you know it?

Depends if they are just comparing sun signs then I'd say they are fake because the sun sign does is not the "deciding" factor.

With that said, I will still date someone even if it says that we are not compatible. I think that it gives a great indication of what things we may encounter as issues, but I certainly am going to decide on my own as love is bigger than the stars : )
